MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Northstar Capital (“Northstar”), a provider of junior capital for lower middle market private equity transactions, is very pleased to announce the promotions of John Kennefick to Principal and Matthew Lilledahl to Vice President.

John joined the Northstar team as an Associate in 2015 and has been promoted to Principal.  In recent years, John has progressed into a senior leadership role within Northstar, expanding his responsibilities to include sourcing, evaluating, and managing investment opportunities.  Matt joined Northstar as an Associate in 2017 and has been promoted to Vice President.  Since joining Northstar, Matt has been actively involved in the firm’s investment activities including investment evaluation, transaction execution, and portfolio management.

The continued professional development of John and Matt adds senior leadership, experience and depth to the firm as we continue investing NMP VII and NMP SBIC and actively managing our broader portfolio.
