MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Northstar Capital (“Northstar”), a provider of junior capital for middle market private equity transactions, is pleased to welcome three summer interns – Cade Busek, Judy Wang, and Dhruv Muppidi.

Northstar was able to expand upon last year’s intern class and bring on three interns for the summer of 2023. Northstar’s summer internship program offers students the unique opportunity to work closely alongside Northstar’s investment professionals. We are excited to highlight each of them below:

Cade Busek

Cade will be graduating in the fall of 2023 from North Dakota State University with degrees in Accounting and Finance. Cade interned in past summers at Eide Bailly and Clifton Larson Allen performing accounting activities while serving as a Project Manager at Busek Olson & Associates.  Cade contributes on campus in NDSU’s investment club as the President for the University’s Endowment Fund. He hopes to pursue a career in either private equity or venture capital upon graduation.

Judy Wang

Judy is an upcoming Junior at the University of Chicago where she is studying Economics and Global Studies. Judy previously interned with SHEIN conducting market research on brand partnerships, and IDG Capital working on investment projects and research.  On campus, she is involved with the UChicago Dance Club, the sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi, and assists at the University of Chicago Law School. Judy wishes to pursue a career in consulting or to attend business school after she completes her undergraduate degree.

Dhruv Muppidi

Dhruv is a rising Junior at Williams College this fall where he is studying Political Economics and Math. Dhruv interned with EA Consultants and performed research in the microfinance space. He is a Teaching Assistant for the economics and statistics departments on campus, actively participates in and founded the Sports Analytics Club, and writes for the local financial publication. Dhruv plans to pursue a career in investment banking post-graduation.

Northstar Internship Program

Northstar’s internship program was established in 2017 and has been a successful development program for over a dozen aspiring finance professionals. Previous Northstar interns have gone on to work in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, consulting, and corporate development. Representative firms include Lincoln International, Piper Sandler, Bain Consulting, Blackstone, PwC, and Cowen. Northstar is proud of the continued success of previous interns and looks forward to continuing the growth of the internship alumni network.
